Poll: Election campaign

Britain has finally entered the election campaign after months of unofficial manoeuvres.

Gordon Brown finally brought speculation to an end on April 6th, exactly a month before the country goes to the polls.

A final flurry of activity is taking place in parliament as the government desperately tries to secure various bills before it is dissolved.

David Cameron seems to be finally building up a lead in the polls again, but Tory strategists will be profoundly aware of how fragile the party’s performance is.
