Frances Crook

Before becoming the Co-Convenor of the Commission on Political Power, Frances Crook was the chief executive of the Howard League for Penal Reform for over thirty years. During that time she was a non-executive director of an NHS primary care trust and the School Food Trust and a governor of Greenwich University. She spent eight years as an elected Labour Councillor in Barnet. She was awarded an OBE for services to youth justice, the Freedom of the City of London and has three honorary degrees.
