Uncertainty over National Lottery takeover

There remains uncertainty over who will run the National Lottery as a number of legal challenges rumble on, MPs have heard today.

The Digital, Culture, Media and Sport committee grilled witnesses, including Gambling Commission chief executive Andrew Rhodes. He admitted he was not yet sure whether Allwyn would takeover running of the charity after Camelot’s 20 year tenure.

Yesterday, Camelot lost its legal bid to bar Allwyn’s takeover.
