SNP’s Black told off by deputy speaker after describing government as ‘pished’ during the pandemic

During the SNP opposition day debate today on the cost of living, SNP deputy leader in the House of Commons Mhairi Black described the government as “pished” during the pandemic.

The deputy speaker Dame Rosie Winterton deemed the language unparliamentary and said: “I should just say to the honourable lady, she really must not use language like that. Please don’t. I hope you will apologise.”
