Private dental healthcare ‘subsidising the NHS’

Labour MP, Judith Cummins, told Westminster Hall about her “serious concerns” for NHS dentistry.

Cummins explained that dentists are leaving the NHS for private healthcare due to the current dental contracts which make it “highly stressful” and stop dentists “providing the quality of care that they want to for patients”.

The MP for Bradford South told the Hall, “the government should not be applauded for creating a pot of funding for urgent care that simply cannot be spent” and that “It’s simply no longer good enough to say we’re working on it”.
