Hoyle on flip flops in the heat: ‘Politicians already do that’

At the beginning on this week’s parliamentary business, speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle allowed MPs to remove their jackets and ties in the extreme heat.

Amusingly, defence secretary Ben Wallace asked “what next? Flip flops?”.

Hoyle responded by telling Wallace that he thinks “politicians already do that”.
