Fellows pushes government to not fail children of single parents

In a Westminster Hall debate, Marion Fellows made the opening speech, calling on the government to not fail children of single parents and to reform the child maintenance service.

Fellows reminded MPs that “children didn’t ask to be in this situation” as part of a one parent family where the other parent fails to provide.

The SNP MP went on to say that children “deserve better than to be treated as collateral damage”.
