Caroline Lucas: ‘Nature needs us to know it, to love it, to restore it and defend it’

The House of Commons today debated the public’s access to nature.

Green party MP Caroline Lucas, who put forward the debate, said: “My hope is that we can work together for our health and well-being, for our happiness and fulfilment, and, of course, for the love of life on Earth. Because nature needs us to know it, to love it, to restore it and defend it. And frankly we need nature if we are to learn to be fully human”.
