Badenoch criticised by Conservative MPs after climbdown on post-Brexit ‘bonfire’ of EU laws

The secretary of state for business and trade Kemi Badenoch was today called to the commons to answer an urgent question from the Conservative MP Sir Bill Cash on EU retained law climbdown.

Speaking in the urgent question, chair of the European Research Group of eurosceptic Conservative MPs Mark Francois said: “Why has the government performed a massive climbdown on its own bill, despite having such strong support from its own backbenchers? Secretary of state, what on earth are you playing at?”.
