Anderson welcomes the inclusion of e-scooters in the transport bill

During the transport debate, Labour MP Fleur Anderson welcomed the inclusion of e-scooter legislation in the transport bill from the Queen’s Speech.

Anderson spoke of blind and visually impaired individuals who now do not leave their homes “for fear of e-scooters”, which are silent and relatively high speed.

The MP for Putney told the House of Commons that while e-scooters are here to stay, “we don’t want to inadvertently entrap people in their homes”.
