Several MPs will take part in London Marathon on Sunday

Several MPs are set to take part in tomorrow’s London Marathon.

The 2020 London Marathon was postponed and only allowed elite participants due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Usually held in April, the 2021 event is open to mass participation but was suspended until October due to continuing pandemic restrictions.

Greg Clark, the Conservative MP for Tunbridge Wells and chair of the science & technology select committee will be running in aid of the Hospice in the Weald and Macmillan Cancer.

Dan Jarvis, Labour MP for Barnsley Central will be running in aid of Cancer Research.

Cat Smith, Labour MP for Lancaster & Fleetwood and shadow minister for young people & democracy is running in aid of Fleetwood Foodbank and Morecambe Bay Foodbank.

Edward Timpson, the Conservative MP for Eddisbury and former minister for children & families will be running in aid of Cheshire Young Carers.
