Mental health first aid: ‘We need a revolution’ 

A new bill that would make mental health first aid training in the workplace compulsory by law, has successfully moved onto its second reading.

Presenting the bill, Dean Russell MP argued that mental health should be given parity with physical health.

The importance of mental health in the workplace has been brought into sharp focus by the pandemic. An estimated 1.9 million workers reported with a mental-health-related absence in 2020.
