‘A corrupt, sleazy and tired government’ – MPs clash at Opposition Day debate.

Conservative MP John Lamont described the SNP as “corrupt, sleazy and tired” in the House of Commons today as MPs clashed at the Opposition Day debate.

In a heated debate, Labour MP Ian Murray told an SNP MP he ‘ought to try’ having principles.

The SNP focused much of their time on the topic of independence while Conservative and Labour MPs pointed out Scotland’s poor recent record in education, and the current turmoil surrounding Nicola Sturgeon and Alex Salmond.
