‘What planet are these people living on?’: Ed Miliband responds to the budget

The House of Commons today held its final debate on the Spring Budget.

Speaking in the debate, shadow secretary of state for climate change and net zero Ed Miliband said: “I want to start with the alternate reality the chancellor described six days ago. ‘The plan is working’, he told us. Many will have heard that and thought to themselves as they struggle to pay their bills as their wages stagnate: what planet are these people living on?”.
