‘That is totally not acceptable!’: Speaker and Badenoch clash after EU retained law U-turn

During the urgent question today on the government’s changes to their approach to EU retained law, the speaker strongly rebuked the Kemi Badenoch, telling the secretary of state that she have come before the House to make the statement.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle said: “We are elected to hear it first, not to read it in the Telegraph”, to which Ms Badenoch responded: “I’m very sorry that the sequencing that we chose was not to your satisfaction”.
