Simon Clarke confirms he will vote against unamended Rwanda Bill as it is ‘likely to fail’
Speaking in the House of Commons today, former cabinet minister Sir Simon Clarke confirmed he will vote against the Safety of Rwanda (Asylum and Immigration) Bill if it remains unamended.
He told the House: “In the absence of amendments being brought forward and supported by the government, I will not be able to support this bill.
He added: “More than that, I will vote against it at third reading, and I say that with real sadness, but also total determination”.
