Philp says new lottery license will bolster profits for good causes

Technology minister Chris Philp has been quizzed today on the future of the National Lottery.

He said the previous operator Camelot had increased profits without adequately increasing its giving to good causes.

He said the new lottery license, likely to be granted to Allwyn, would oblige the operator to distribute any excess profits to good causes.
