‘Not zero’ will cost more than ‘net zero’, says independent review author Chris Skidmore

In a House of Commons debate today, MPs considered the ‘Independent Review of Net Zero’. The debate was opened by Conservative MP Chris Skidmore, who penned the review commissioned by Liz Truss’ government.

Speaking in the debate, Mr Skidmore said: “The choice that we have ultimately is that choice of not zero will cost more than the direction of continuing to work towards net zero”.
