MPs ‘should be discussing childhood cancers’ rather than ‘unforgivable’ actions

As MPs debated on further scrutiny of prime minister Boris Johnson by the privilege committee in the wake of partygate, they “should have been discussing childhood cancers”, as Steve Brine reminded the House.

Brine explained that MPs “need to move on” and that he would support the motion for that reason.

Labour’s Jess Phillips also made a stand out contribution in which she described 99% of MPs as wanting to “change the world for the better”. Phillips categorised the prime minister in the 1%, calling it “unforgivable”.
