Malthouse – Met Police strip search conduct ‘deeply concerning’

In an urgent question, Bell Ribeiro-Addy asked home minister Kit Malthouse to make a statement on the Metropolitan Police’s handling of the strip search of “child Q”.

This incident took place two years ago and involved a 15 year old school girl being “strip searched on her period” in a an experience that will have been “traumatic”.

Malthouse encouraged MPs to wait for the conclusions of a report into the matter and to “not prejudge”. Though he admitted that it was a “troubling and deeply concerning matter”.
