Johnson faces criticism from even his own MP following apology for partygate

In reaction to his update to the House of Commons, prime minister Boris Johnson faced criticism, including from his own MP Mark Harper for breaking the law and not “exemplifying the values” of the UK.

Labour Leader Keir Starmer called the apology “a joke”, telling the House that this is “what he is” and “what he does”.

Barry Sheerman raised concerns about the PM’s behaviour undermining his “credibility” worldwide.
