Former PM Theresa May introduced to House of Lords as Baroness May of Maidenhead

Former prime minister Theresa May has been formally introduced to the House of Lords.

Baroness May of Maidenhead, who stepped down from the House of Commons at the last election, wore the traditional scarlet robes for the introduction ceremony.

She recited an oath to the King before shaking hands with the Lord Speaker, Baron McFall of Alcluith.
