Docherty denies UK army is ‘too small’

Following an urgent question on UK military support of Ukraine, defence minister Leo Docherty denied claims that the British army is “too small”, despite comments made by the head of the British army.

Docherty focused on the £24 billion uplift in defence spending and £1.3 billion of new funding for military and humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

The under-secretary reassured the House of Commons that the UK is responding “decisively” to the threat from Russia.
