Danny Kruger accidentally says he ‘sympathises’ with people that don’t like the PM

During the opposition day debate on the ministerial code, Conservative MP Danny Kruger criticised Labour’s suggestion that there should be an unelected commissioner to enforce the ministerial code, telling the House of Commons “this is not the British way”.

The Conservative MP told the House that he sympathises with the opposition not liking “not getting their way” before saying, “they don’t like the prime minister. I sympathise”.

Met with laughter, Kruger was quick to highlight that the PM “retains the support of the majority of the House”.
