Welsh Assembly hits the road

In an attempt to raise public awareness of the Welsh Assembly’s powers, the Welsh Executive has organised a trailer roadshow around Wales.

Timed to coincide with the First Minister’s annual report, the road show will carry information on the Assembly’s policies, health advice and support; and competitions such as the chance for children to win a bike by taking part in an ‘If I was First Minister’ competition.

First Minister Rhodri Morgan said: “The roadshow will help us to reach a new audience. Every year we have information exhibitions at the Royal Welsh Show, Urdd and National Eisteddfods. But now we can take our travelling exhibitions to some of the smaller, more community-based events where we can reach new audiences. We will take the trailer to shopping centres, community festival and carnivals the length and breadth of Wales starting in Cardiff this week.”
