The commons today: Net zero and support for MPs

The House of Commons sits from 9.30 am with international trade questions before business questions to commons leader Penny Mordaunt.

This will be followed by a select committee statement on a report from the levelling up, housing and communities committee on “Reforming the Private Rented Sector”. It will be delivered by committee chair Clive Betts.

The main business of the day will be backbench business debates on the independent review of net zero, led by Conservative MP Chris Skidmore, and parliamentary services for members, led by Conservative MP Charles Walker.

Conservative MP Marcus Fysh has the adjournment debate on accountability in financial regulation.
