South Yorkshire Police unveil ‘no trick-or- treaters’ sign for public
South Yorkshire Police have revealed a ‘no trick-or- treaters’ sign which the public can use to deter children from coming to their house this Halloween to ask for treats.
The sign has been met with ridicule, with one Twitter user remarking: “If you want to guarantee your windows get egged, simply put this poster in your window.”
The police said: “If you do not want to be disturbed by trick or treaters this Halloween then you can download the South Yorkshire Police ‘no trick or treaters’ poster.”
“Simply put the poster in your window or on your door and those taking part in the festivities will know that you do not want to be disturbed.”
If you do want to download the poster, you can find it here.
