No. 10 parties ‘unforgivable’, says former Conservative party leader

Former Conservative party leader, Sir Iain Duncan Smith MP has described Downing Street’s lockdown parties as “unforgivable”.

Speaking to Sky News’ “Trevor Phillips on Sunday”, the former work and pensions secretary said: “This is unforgivable, there is no question that what has been going on and … the culture has become lazy and slack about what happens after hours, what happens in offices”.

“You know, most businesses wouldn’t allow what was going on in the offices, even though people have been under pressure. This was in the middle of lockdown with oppressive rules about what people could and couldn’t do”, he added.
