Health secretary Steve Barclay to be grilled by committee today

At 10.00 am, digital infrastructure minister Julia Lopez will give the government’s view on connected tech at the digital, culture, media and sport committee.

Also at 10.00 am, the health and social care committee will question Philippa Hird, head of the NHS Pay Review Body.

At 10.15 am, Ofgem boss Jonathan Brearley is among the witnesses at the business, energy and industrial strategy committee’s multiple panels on energy price support.

At 2.30 pm, ministry of justice permanent secretary Antonia Romeo will be grilled at the justice committee.

At 3.15 pm, the women and equalities committee have a session on Scotland’s gender reforms. Experts on both sides of the divide will be questioned, including public law lecturer Michael Foran and former justice secretary Charlie Falconer.

At 4 pm, former foreign secretary William Hague will give his views on the future of the U.K.-EU relationship at the Lords European affairs committee.

Also at 4 pm, health secretary Steve Barclay is up at the health and social care committee’s other session of the day.
