Doncaster MP accused of faking constituency visits by reposting photos

A Conservative MP has been accused of faking visits to his Don Valley constituency, after followers spotted that he had used the same photo three times in social media posts, according to the Doncaster Free Press.

One photo posted to his Facebook page this week with the caption “Great to spend the afternoon in Thorne,” had Christmas trees in the background, and it was revealed by commenters that he had already posted the same image in December 2020 and in September of this year.

Nick Fletcher has served as MP for the seat since 2019, when he won it from Labour’s Caroline Flint.
