Cressida Dick: ‘I am so sorry’
Dame Cressida Dick has said she is “so sorry” for the murder of Sarah Everard by then-police officer Wayne Couzens.
Speaking outside the Old Bailey, the commissioner also expressed “fury” that “for some people our precious bond of trust has been damaged”.
“There are no words that can fully express the fury and overwhelming sadness that we all feel about what happened to Sarah. I am so sorry.”
