Conservative MP slams ‘Plan B’ vaccine passport plans
Mark Harper, the Conservative MP for the Forest of Dean, took to Twitter this morning to criticise the government’s proposals for mandatory COVID certifications in a ‘Plan B’ Autumn and Winter scenario.
He said via Twitter:
👎 Very disappointing to see this vaccine passport proposal
🛑 No evidence published to justify it
🛑 No commitment to a Parliamentary vote in advance
Vaccine passports are *still*:
❌ Pointless
❌ Damaging
❌ Discriminatory https://t.co/Kq2wQcoSKD— Mark Harper (@Mark_J_Harper) September 27, 2021
Health secretary Sajid Javid said earlier this month that while there is “no single trigger”, England’s ‘Plan B’ will be enacted if the data suggests the NHS is likely to come under “unsustainable pressure”.
