Adam Boulton to leave Sky News

Adam Boulton, Sky News’ Editor-at-Large, has said he will soon leave the channel after 30 years.

The 62-year-old has served as the station’s Editor-at-Large since 2014.

He announced the decision in an interview with The Times, in which he said: “It looks like the direction which Sky News wants to go over the next few years is not one that’s a particularly good fit for me.”

“My position is I quite understand people want to develop the channel for the next generation, and I will continue to do stuff with Sky, subject to contract as it were,” he explained, saying that the decision was “mutual”.
