Professor Chris Whitty has stated covid will continue to hurt those most vulnerable and backed a cautious easing of lockdown.
Warning against bringing forward the government’s planned route towards easing of restrictions, the chief medical officer stated that “a further surge will find people who either have not been vaccinated or where the vaccine has not worked”.
