An hourly rate of £10, an end to zero hour contracts and recognition of the unions – all key points in the latest campaign for fast food worker's rights.

Dozen's of activists desecended on McDonald's in Whitehall yesterday as part of a movement spearheaded by the Bakers, Food and Allied Workers Union, founded after similar protests in the US.

But, what is the reality for those working in the fast food industry today and how does it affect their lives?
