Thangam Debbonaire pays tribute to Tina Turner, jokes ‘we clearly do need another hero’

Responding to Penny Mordaunt’s business statement today, shadow leader of the House of Commons Thangam Debbonaire channelled Tina Turner in her speech, as she blasted “This weak prime minister”.

She said: “We clearly do need another hero – good, well spotted – instead of this weak prime minister, spending all this time watching his back. We could have a Labour Prime Minister showing real leadership and strong action”.
