Care Home Open Week

Care England, the largest and most diverse representative body for independent providers of adult social care, welcomes Care Home Open Week 2022.

Professor Martin Green OBE, Chief Executive of Care England, says:
“Care Home Open Week is a real opportunity for care services to champion their work and to enable local communities to understand the important role social care plays in supporting residents and their families. After two years of COVID lockdowns, this week represents an opportunity for care homes to show what they have to offer their communities by exhibiting their outstanding care, facilities, activities, and workforce. This Care Home Open Week let’s celebrate everything that makes care homes special and break down barriers by encouraging the public to build connections with their local care services.”

Care Home Open Week 2022, hosted by Championing Social Care, runs from the 27th June – 3rd July 2022.

This year’s campaign will highlight the importance of building connections with your local community and offer the public an opportunity to discover the care home on their street and learn more about the social care sector!

You can get involved by visiting Championing Social Care website.

Martin Green continues:
“This Care Home Open Week, the care sector can show the public what we have to offer, to remind our neighbours that we are integral and active members of their communities. It is time to destigmatise care homes by championing the work of the care services and to educate the public on the important role the care sector serves in supporting the community.”
