Two minutes silence held in memory of Sir David Amess MP

A two-minute silence has been observed today on Eastwood Road in Leigh-on-Sea in memory of Sir David Amess.

Sir David died last Friday afternoon after being stabbed during a constituency surgery in a church hall in the town.

A 25 year-old man was arrested been on suspicion of murder shortly after the incident and has since been charged.
