Scotland’s vaccine passport app runs into problems hours after launch

Scotland’s vaccine passport app is experiencing technical issues just hours after its launch this morning.

Users have said the app is not functioning, and will not show their data.

The Scottish government said high traffic is likely to blame and that those experiencing difficulties should check again for their data later today.

Some social media users have said issues may have arisen when people attempted to use their NHS community health index number to sign up.

Under the new rules, people in Scotland will be required to prove they have received two doses of Coronavirus vaccine to enter nightclubs and other large events.

A legal challenge against the new rules was struck down yesterday.
