Labour MP hits out at removal of Novara Media’s YouTube channel
The left-wing media outlet Novara Media has reportedly had its YouTube channel taken down without explanation or warning.
Labour MP Richard Burgon has slammed the website’s decision, tweeting:
What on earth is going on @YouTube? I ask this as an elected Member of the UK Parliament. @novaramedia is an important platform for left journalism and discussion. It shouldn’t be shut down. #ReinstateNovara https://t.co/5pcfGJIWBR

The outlet was founded in 2011 by James Butler and Aaron Bastani, who met during that year’s protests against the increase in UK university tuition fees.
The organisation has frequently sparked debate regarding its left-wing editorial position and generally supportive view of Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership of the Labour party.
