No 10 has insisted Boris Johnson was “well and he is focused on delivering for the public” following his speech to the Confederation of British Industry.
“The Prime Minister briefly lost his place in a speech,” the spokesman said in regards to Mr Johnson’s address to the CBI annual conference yesterday in South Shields in which he paused for several moments appearing to have lost his place in the printed speech, and detailed a visit to ‘Peppa Pig world’, adding: “He has given hundreds of speeches. I don’t think it’s unusual for people on rare occasions to lose their place in a speech.”
