NHS England to postpone other services to focus on booster rollout

NHS practices will be permitted to postpone minor surgeries and health checks for over-75s and new patients until the end of March, in a bid to focus on rolling out Covid booster jabs.

In its letter released on Friday, NHS England also confirmed that the booster booking service will go live “no later” than 13 December.

The prime minister announced this week that all adults in England wil be offered boosters by the 31 January.

75 more cases of the Omicron Covid variant were confirmed in England on Friday, bring England’s to 104 and the Uk as a whole to 134.
