Lib Dems gain two council seats from Conservatives in Gloucester & West Sussex byelections

The Liberal Democrats have gained two council seats in Gloucester & West Sussex byelections respectively.

In Longlevens, Gloucester Sarah Dawn Sawyer was elected with 60 per cent of the votes. The Conservative candidate came second place with 31 per cent of the vote share.

In Bourne, West Sussex Andrew Kerry-Bedell won with 52 per cent of the vote, ahead of Conservative Bob Hayes (893), Green Ann Stewart (178) and Labour’s Alan Butcher (25).
