Dehenna Davison ‘overwhelmed’ by support after coming out as bisexual

A Conservative MP has said she has felt “overwhelmed” by the support she received after coming out as bisexual.

28-year-old Dehenna Davison, who was elected as MP for the ‘Red Wall’ seat of Bishop Auckland in 2019, said in an interview with GB News set to be broadcast later today that she identifies as bisexual.

She told the Daily Telegraph that she does not “want being bi to be considered a big deal. If I did a very public kind of coming-out parade, that would be me saying there’s something really unusual about this and trying to make a big deal of it when to me it’s not. It’s just part of who I am.”

On Sunday she said she was thankful for the support she had received in light of the news.
