Almost 50% of British adults think ‘levelling up’ will fail

A poll released today suggest that almost half of British adults think ‘levelling up’ will fail.

The figures released today by Public First, showed that most people believe their local area requires ‘levelling up’ (65 per cent).

However, just 23 per cent expressed confidence that the Government will succeed in ‘levelling up’ parts of the UK over the coming decade.

48 per cent said they were not confident this would happen, and the rest said they either did not lean one way or the other, or did not know.

London was the only region where most respondents said they felt the government would suceed.
