Sue Gray report delayed as Met Police launch criminal investigation into No 10 parties

88% of voters think the PM attended lockdown party in May 2020

A snap poll has shown that an overwhelming majority of British adults believe that the prime minister attended a lockdown-breaching party in May 2020.

When asked by YouGov of they thought that there was a party held in Downing Street in May 2020, that Boris Johnson attended 88 per cent said they believed there was, while 4 per cent disagreed.

85 per cent of people who voted Conservative at the 2019 election  said there was a party which the PM attended, while 5 per cent said there was not.

96 per cent of people who voted Labour at the 2019 election believed there was a party which Johnson attended, while just 1 per cent said there was not.

These figures follow the revelation of an email sent by Martin Reynolds, the civil servant responsible for the prime minister’s private office leaked to the media on Monday. The email invited staff to “make the most of the lovely weather” via a “socially distanced drinks” reception in Number 10’s garden during the national lockdown.
