MPs vote to suspend Margaret Ferrier from House of Commons over Covid rule breach

MPs today voted to suspend Margaret Ferrier from the House of Commons for 30 days for breaching Covid lockdown rules.

The move will now likely lead to a by-election in her Rutherglen and Hamilton West constituency.

MPs voted by 185 to 40 in favour of suspending Ms Ferrier from parliament.
