Bone wants the chancellor to lead debate entitled: ‘Brexit, a roaring success’

Speaking in a debate on the business statement, Conservative MP for Wellingborough Peter Bone called on the leader of the house, Penny Mordaunt, to make time for a debate entitled: ‘Brexit, a roaring success, no turning back’. He asked if chancellor Jeremy Hunt could lead the debate.

This follows rumours that Hunt was the source of the leak that the government was pursuing a “Swiss-style” EU deal.

Mr Bone said: “Could we have a debate in government time led by the Chancellor of the Exchequer saying, well, let’s have it in title, Mr. Speaker: ‘Brexit A Roaring Success. No turning back?”.
