MP cycles 100km for charity 8 months after recovering from cancer
Tracey Crouch, the Conservative MP for Chatham and Aylesford, has completed a 100km cycle just 8 months after finishing treatment for breast cancer.
The journey, running from south London to Brighton, took Crouch 5 hours and 46 minutes to complete. In total, the MP raised £4480 for “Women v Cancer”.
Crouch first announced her breast cancer diagnosis in June 2020. After announcing the end of her cancer treatment in February this year, Crouch said she intended to “max out on life”.
Crouch has been a member of parliament since 2010 and has served as the parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Sport, Heritage and Tourism (2015-2017) and the parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for sport Civil Society and Loneliness (2017-2018).
