Ministers allegedly unhappy with conference hall

Cabinet ministers have complained about the main auditorium for speeches in the Conservative party conference hall in Manchester, according to reports from The Guardian.

The room seats around 600 people as opposed to the 3000 seat hall used as the main auditorium for Labour’s conference last week in Brighton.

Speakers are reportedly drowned out by noise from the nearby exhibition hall.

A new stage is being constructed at a secret location within the Manchester venue for Prime minister Boris Johnson’s keynote address.

It is understood that the smaller venue was chosen as it was anticipated that less people would attend due to the pandemic, however numbers have exceeded previous years.

Many attendees have publicly expressed surprise at the venue’s size via social media, including Paul Waugh, chief political commentator at The i.
